2017 is here, and there are only a few more weekends until the first day of Spring. The team is officially busy. We have costumes to be sewn, an Ad Book to finalize and design, ropes to be made, dances and shore routines to be taught, pyramids to be practiced on dry land, and as soon as the ice thaws – piers to be put back into the water. This all needs to be ready before we hit the water this season. We are in the process of finalizing an entertaining ski show for you, and we can’t wait for you to join us under the hot sun again soon. Check out our 2017 show schedule here.
The equipment truck for our team has reached its lifespan. We are able to drive this only a few short miles at a time, but we are not able to travel our equipment to tournaments, or any off-site events.
To prepare for our 2017 season, we have launched a “Duck Truck Fund” to help raise money for a new truck. If you would like to help contribute to our new truck, please click on the donation button below.

As we fill up the equipment truck, pull the boats over to storage, and clean our costumes one last time, we look back at what a great season it has been! Every year it begins with dusting of the rust in the cold spring water. This year we dusted off by bringing back our double top 4-high pyramid, celebrating our 40th year with 75 past and current members on the water, and putting up our largest pyramid during a home show! We have a lot to be thankful for, and a lot of good memories to reflect on. Thank you to all of our sponsors, donators, and spectators. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to continue. Preparations are already underway for a fun filled 2017, so we look forward to seeing you all again real soon!
Once again, the WI State Water Ski Tournament came and went in a blink of an eye. The 50th annual competition was yet another fun event, and The Ducks brought a beautiful, solid pyramid on the water. The Double-Top 4-high Pyramid won the highest scoring pyramid in Division II! 22 people strong, The Ducks were able to successfully climb the pyramid with a mile to spare, before entering the show course.
The overall show brought home a 3rd place trophy, with 286 points shy of first place. While The Duck’s won’t be able to travel to the National Tournament this year, they are not finished here. The team is continuously working on growing bigger and better. Make sure to catch a show before the season is over. Only 5 more weeks left!
The 2015 Wisconsin State Water Ski Tournament wrapped up on July 19th. The Ducks took home a 4th place trophy for the overall show, only 39 points away from the win! Our Tow Boat Drivers and Ballet Line dazzled the audience with their 1st place win for box scores! Below are a few highlights from our trip at the beautiful Lake Wauzeecha:
Congratulations to all of this weekend’s performers, and an extra special thank you to our host, the Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers.
We are now off to the Division II National Tournament, this July 31st through August 2nd.
The Aquaducks took 2nd place in Division 2 at the Wisconsin State Water Ski Tournament. The tournament was held July 17th – July 20th at Lake Wauzeecha in Wisconsin Rapids. Overall 24 teams throughout Wisconsin competed, with 9 teams in our Division 2 bracket. Our team is even happier to announce that our showmanship, pick-up boats, and tow boats took 1st place!!
Congratulations to all the teams that competed. We enjoyed yet another fun State Tournament. Stay tuned for the results in the upcoming National Tournament, held at Hidden Lake in Warsaw IN, August 1st – 3rd.
On Saturday, September 14th, The Brown’s Lake Aquaducks joined by Badgerland, Muskego Waterbugs, Backwater Gamblers, and The Beaverland Must-skis, set a Guinness Book of World Record pulling a 60 person pyramid with a single boat powered by 3 Evinrude 300hp motors! Thank you to everyone who made this possible. We were honored to be apart of such an historic event.
